1. What is audio-mosaic.com? Audio-mosaic.com offers unique and long backing tracks for people to jam to. Any instrument is welcome to jam but currently we are focused mainly on guitar. We offer full length streaming on every song and all of the tracks are available for purchase.
2. Can I download the tracks for free? Occasionally we will offer promotion codes that allow free downloads so keep checking! All of the tracks can be streamed full length at an mp3 quality for free.
3. What is Bandcamp? Bandcamp is the website that hosts our backing tracks. The have a really cool setup and it is free to set up an account to sell your own music. Check them out at: www.bandcamp.com
4. What is a backing track? A backing track is basically a song with no vocals or major lead parts like a guitar solo. This stripped down version of a song allows people to play an instrument or sing on top of it.
5. Can I download the backing tracks via iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby, and so on? Currently we only use bandcamp as distributor but if people seem to like audio-mosaic.com we are planning on moving to other distribution outlets.
6. Can I purchase a physical CD? We do not offer a physical albums for sale at this time but that is on the horizon.
7. Why is (insert something devastating) not working on your site? Audio-mosaic.com is a relitivly new website and we are still working out some kinks. Please be patient with us and if you find anything, even small, with the site please contact us at: www.audio-mosaic.com/contact
8. When are new tracks and albums updated/released? New tracks and albums are updated regularly so keep on checking! As stated above, this is a relatively new website and we have a lot of work ahead of us. Our main goal is to add great and unique content regularly.
9. How do I know what scale to use? Many of our songs allow several different scales to be played on top of them. Use the Pick a Scale button to select a scale in the key of the song. The key of a song is in the song title. Play around with the scales and find one you like! The pentatonic scales are awesome to jam with, try a pentatonic major (if the song is happy) or minor (if its sad) scale in the key of the song you are jamming on. Play around with the scales and have fun!
10. Can I use your music in (insert something tubular you’re working on)? Probably! Basically yes, but not for commercial use unless you contact us. So go ahead and upload you jamming on youtube, use the songs for a school project or movie! Get creative and go nuts. If you are unsure just ask us! You are free:
